Another job done, cargo offloaded, information passed, and credits taken in. Not enough for all the repairs and equipment they could use, but definitely enough for food, fuel, and maybe one or two upgrades.

It'll do.

But before getting to that, Hera takes a moment to enjoy some caf, feet up and head aching from incipient stress only the tiniest bit. They're going to need another job, and soon, and that means she and Kanan need to talk about a couple of matters.

Seeing as this partnership of theirs looks like it's going to work out in the long run.

But first, caf. Seriously.

"There's some optimism."

... okay, that one he does regret a little.

Hera just gives him a look.

"The only reason I don't is that my people don't have hair."

"There's no Twi'lek equivalent?"

Hera twitches her lekku in his general direction.

"More wrinkles, maybe? But humans do that, too."

Kanan sighs.

"I guess we can't all be as good-looking as you."

Hera punches his arm, triggering the comms in the very next second.

"Chopper! Get down here. Kanan has some news he has to tell you."

"Oh, come on, Hera," he protests.

"That's a disproportionate response!"

She laughs, quick and just as quickly muffled.

"Where do you think my droid learned it from?"

Honestly.

"You know, you're not going to have your leader if your droid kills me."

Think of what you'll be missing out on, Hera!

Hera taps on her comms again.

"Chop, don't kill Kanan. That's an order, all right?"

There, see? It'll be fine.

"Yeah, I'm sure that'll -"

At which point Chopper finally rolls in, already waving his arms and grumbling.

"Remember," Hera says, maybe to Kanan, maybe to Chopper, probably to both of them, "I'm watching. Behave."

Chopper, who in fairness has done nothing up to this point, starts to beep with even more irritation.

"Yeah, thanks Hera," Kanan says dryly.

"You're welcome," Hera sings out, smirking a little.

"Boss."

Look, if it's going to be awkward anyway, it may as well start now. And it's past time for her to be someplace else, putting together a shopping list. (And checking for any important comm traffic. Shh.)
